about
Month Of May is about 'friends' who are two-faced. From the outside looking in, it all seems fine. However when you yourself are in the situation, you realise that there's manipulation and cynicism in all aspects of the friendship.
They'll act like your friend when you're with them, but talk behind your back as soon as you leave. They'll slowly pick away at things each time you hang out to manipulate you into thinking what they think. They don't have your best interests at heart, which is what a friend should have.
Arn. came to realise this with a previous 'friendship' and no longer wanted anything to do with it. He realised how controlled he was while involved and thought to write a song on it. From that, 'Month Of May' was born.
lyrics
So been friends for a couple of years but
I don’t feel alright
Been thinking bout it since way back when and
Now I realise
You make a fool of yourself
Going on like everybody else
You’re oh so full of yourself
Thinking you’re above everybody else
So bitchy and moaning all the time
But deep down you’re anything but fine
Think you’re classy cause you started drinking wine
You’re a fucking rat
Some might say you and I ain’t feeling it
But I’ll still say you’re my friend
The month of May felt like I’m in prison cause
There’s no way I’d see my friends
Stuck here kinda dragging my heels but
I think I’ll be alright
While you’re there picking something apart cause
You’re a different type
Always looking for someone to blame
All these ideas and look where it came
Wanna change but you’re staying the same
Ain’t no tears cause it’s no crying shame
DescriptiveD but staying so vague
I’ll describe you, you’re just like the plague
What more do you want me to say
Grow up you fucking twat
Some might say you and I ain’t feeling it
But I’ll still say you’re my friend
The month of May felt like I’m in prison
Cause there’s no way I’d see my friends
Woke up today and had an epiphany
I can’t say you’re my friends
What more to say you and I ain’t feeling it
I can’t say you’re my friend
You think you’re special don’t you?
You think you’re really fucking special don’t you?
You think you’re really fucking special don’t you?
Well I really really fucking hate you
Some might say you and I ain’t feeling it
But I’ll still say you’re my friend
The month of May felt like I was in prison
Cause there’s no way I’d see my friends
Woke up today and had an epiphany
I can’t say you’re my friends
What more to say you and I ain’t feeling it
I can’t say you’re my friend
